The students of Baldwin Wallace
University, Ohio, USA, had spent in a week in Christ University, Bangalore as part
of a gateway programme to India. The valedictory function was held on December
17, 2016. The students from BW were present here dressed in Indian ethnic
clothes and jewellery that they bought with their Indian buddies on one of
their evenings out together. It was time for the students to reflect on the one
week they spent in Bangalore with Christ University and its students.
They presented to the audience in
groups what they did over the week with their Indian buddies. They spoke about
the places they got to see around Bangalore and the time they spent with their
respective Indian buddies. Christ University’s students who volunteered to be
their buddies also got to speak about the time they spent with the BW
University students and what they learnt from their American friends.
All the students met as strangers,
after a week we made memories that we were to cherish for long time and some of
us, friends forever. Souvenirs were gifted to the Baldwin Wallace students from
Christ University as a token of love. The BW University students and the Indian
students entertained the audience with their performances before we bid
farewell.
All the students had their lunch
hosted by Christ University and were set to leave for their next stop. We bid
farewell to our friends and hope to stay in touch. Time spent with the Baldwin
Wallace students was indeed an enriching experience and a memorable one for us.
We believe they got to take back a lot of memories back home as well.
